Commissioner for the Development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area
- To head the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Office (the Office) and to represent the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (HKSAR Government) on matters relating to taking forward Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) development
- To assist in formulating and co-ordinating the overall policies of the HKSAR Government in participating in Greater Bay Area development, and to provide strategic advice on the work priorities to the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs
- To assist in overseeing HKSAR Government’s strategies and co-ordination plans in taking forward Greater Bay Area development
- To act as the HKSAR Government’s focal point of contact with the Mainland authorities, including the National Development and Reform Commission, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council, the Guangdong Provincial Government and relevant municipal governments, as well as the Macao Special Administrative Region Government in respect of Greater Bay Area development
- To lead the Office to formulate the overall publicity and promotion strategy implemented in Hong Kong, the Mainland and overseas countries in support of HKSAR Government’s participation in Greater Bay Area development
- To promote and enhance connections with relevant stakeholders, including consuls general in Hong Kong, and leaders of the business sector and professional bodies
