SCA visits Tsuen Wan

The Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, visited Tsuen Wan today (July 18) to get a better understanding of the latest development of the district. He also exchanged views with District Council members on a wide range of subjects including constitutional development, education, social welfare services, transport and other district issues.
Mr Lam first inspected the results of a rooftop clearance project at a residential building in Ho Pui Street. He was briefed on the general district development by District Officer Mrs Alison Lau. He then visited the chairman of the mutual aid committee of the building.
He was accompanied by Director of Home Affairs Mrs Pamela Tan throughout the district tour.
He also proceeded to a footbridge near Tsuen Wan MTR Station, where he was briefed by Highways Department staff on the alignment of a proposed footbridge network.
Before ending the district tour, Mr Lam met and exchanged views with the District Council members including Chairman Mr Chau How-chen and Vice-chairman Mr Chung Wai-ping.
