SCA to officiate at opening ceremony of CDETO

The Secretary for Constitutional Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, will officiate at the opening ceremony and dinner reception of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu (CDETO) next Monday (February 5).
He will also officiate at the opening ceremony of the Hong Kong Film Week organised by the CDETO on Sunday (February 4). Showcasing a collection of high-quality Hong Kong movies, the event is aimed at introducing Hong Kong movies to Chengdu people and enhance exchanges in the art of film and popular culture between the two cities.
The CDETO has been set up to further promote the HKSAR's exchanges and co-operation with the southwestern region of the country, including the provinces of Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Hunan, Shaanxi and the Chongqing Municipality. It also provides support and services to Hong Kong enterprises and residents on the Mainland.
The CDETO moved to its new office on 38th floor, Tower 1, Plaza Central, 8 Shuncheng Street, Chengdu, yesterday (February 1).
