The Government today (April 14) published the "Package of Proposals for the Methods for Selecting the Chief Executive and for Forming the Legislative Council in 2012".
The document summarises the views received during the three-month consultation exercise that ended on February 19, and sets out the Government's proposed package on the two electoral methods in 2012.
Copies of the document are available for collection by the public at the Public Enquiry Service Centres (PESCs) of the 18 District Offices. The document can also be downloaded from the website (www.cmab-cd2012.gov.hk).
The full range of public submissions in response to the consultation exercise are published in the appendices to the document. They include submissions by political parties/groups, members of the Legislative Council, members of the public and organisations, as well as extracts of meeting notes of the 18 District Councils and opinion polls conducted by academic, non-governmental and media organisations on the subject. The public may view the appendices at the PESCs or browse them on the website.
