SCMA introduces political reform package to secondary students (with photos)

     The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, visited Fukien Secondary School this afternoon (June 10) and introduced the 2012 political reform package to students.

     Apart from briefing the students on the "Package of Proposals for the Methods for Selecting the Chief Executive and for Forming the Legislative Council in 2012" released in April, Mr Lam also explained the background of constitutional development in Hong Kong and answered a number of questions raised by the students.

     About 900 students from Forms One to Four attended today's event. Mr Lam said he hoped that the meeting could help students to understand the constitutional development issue. He was impressed by their keen interest and enthusiastic response.
