The Government announced today (January 15) the extension of Mr Lam Woon-kwong's term of office as the Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC) to March 31, 2013.
The existing term of office of Mr Lam will expire on January 31, 2013. "We are pleased that Mr Lam has accepted the invitation to extend his appointment as the Chairperson of the EOC for two months until the assumption of office by his successor," a Government spokesman said.
"The recruitment process of the post of the Chairperson of the EOC is still ongoing and at its final stage. Mr Lam's successor will be announced after completion of the recruitment process," the spokesman added.
