A group of 16 Under Secretaries and Political Assistants of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will visit Beijing and Hubei Province on September 24 (Tuesday) for a five-day study and visit programme.
The trip will help members of the delegation better understand the latest developments on the Mainland and strengthen liaison between the members and Mainland officials.
In Beijing, the delegation will attend a course at the Chinese Academy of Governance, and call on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council. In Hubei Province, the delegation will be updated on the latest developments of the province and will exchange views with government officials.
The study and visit trip will conclude on September 28.
The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, will join the delegation for the call on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the State Council on September 24. Mr Tam will return to Hong Kong around midday on September 25. The Under Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Lau Kong-wah, will be the Acting Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs on September 24.
