HKSARG responds to media enquiries

 In response to media enquiries relating to media reports on the remarks made by a member of a foreign legislature on election matters in Hong Kong, a spokesman for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government said today (September 10): "The HKSAR Government has all along conducted public elections in strict accordance with the law, with a view to ensuring that the elections are held openly, fairly and honestly."
"Foreign legislatures should not intervene in the internal affairs of Hong Kong," the spokesman added.
