PSCMA attends opening of the 11th Western China International Fair (1) The Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law, attended the Opening Ceremony of the 11th Western China International Fair in Chengdu this morning. PSCMA attends opening of 11th Western China International Fair (2) The Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law, attended the opening ceremony of the 11th Western China International Fair in Chengdu this morning (October 22). Photo shows Mr Law (right) chatting with the Director, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Chengdu, Mr Eddie Poon, at the opening ceremony. Held in Chengdu, Sichuan annually, the fair aims to enhance regional co-operation and promote the opening up and development of western China. It has become a major platform for trade co-operation, investment promotion and diplomatic services in the region. The Beijing Office and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Chengdu have a joint exhibition booth at the five-day fair this year promoting the role of Hong Kong and the services it offers. The cumulative number of visitors to the Hong Kong booth is expected to reach 50,000.
