Public forums on stalking

     The Government has issued a consultation paper to consult the public on the proposal to legislate against stalking and on the key elements of the proposed legislation. The consultation will end on March 31, 2012.

     The Government will hold two public forums to listen to public views. Members of the public are welcome to attend. Details of the forums are as follows:

First public forum
------------------
Date: Thursday, March 1
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Venue: Leighton Hill Community Hall,
          133 Wong Nai Chung Road, Happy Valley

Second public forum
-------------------
Date: Tuesday, March 6
Time: 6pm to 8pm
Venue: Cultural Activities Hall, Sha Tin Town Hall,
          1 Yuen Wo Road, Sha Tin

     Both forums will be conducted in Cantonese. Simultaneous interpretation in English will be available.

     Interested members of the public may register with the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau by phone (2810 3825), fax (2523 0565) or e-mail (stalking_consultation@cmab.gov.hk). Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

     The consultation paper can be obtained from the Public Enquiry Service Centres of District Offices or downloaded from the website of the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau (www.cmab.gov.hk).
