FS to attend ECCPC-THEC Joint Meeting in Taipei |
In his capacity as the Honorary Chairperson of the Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Co-operation and Promotion Council (ECCPC), the Financial Secretary, Mr John C Tsang, will lead a delegation of directors of the ECCPC to attend the Third Joint Meeting between the ECCPC and the Taiwan-Hong Kong Economic and Cultural Co-operation Council (THEC) in Taipei on September 25. Mr Tsang will arrive in Taipei in the afternoon of September 24 and attend the welcoming dinner hosted by the THEC. On the following day, he will attend the ECCPC-THEC Third Joint Meeting in his capacity as the Honorary Chairperson of the ECCPC. During his trip, Mr Tsang will meet with personalities from the economic, trade and financial sectors, relevant personnel from the Taiwan authorities and Hong Kong people in Taiwan. He will also visit cultural and creative facilities in the city. Officials joining the visit will include the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Raymond Tam, and permanent secretaries of relevant policy bureaux. They will attend the relevant events in their capacities as Executive Vice-Chairperson or Directors of the ECCPC. Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on September 26. In his absence, the Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K C Chan, will act as Financial Secretary. Ends/Friday, September 21, 2012 |
