ECCPC and THEC to hold fifth joint meeting in Taipei |
The following is issued on behalf of the Secretariat to the Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Cooperation and Promotion Council: The Hong Kong-Taiwan Economic and Cultural Cooperation and Promotion Council (ECCPC) and the Taiwan-Hong Kong Economic and Cultural Co-operation Council (THEC) will convene their fifth joint meeting in Taipei on December 16. The meeting will be co-chaired by the ECCPC Chairperson, Mr Charles Lee, and the Acting THEC Chairman, Dr Lin Chu-chia. At the meeting, the two Councils will review the co-operation achievements and progress made through this discussion platform in the past year, and make recommendations on the new co-operation areas to be explored by the two places in future. The ECCPC-THEC discussion platform was established in 2010 and has already held four joint meetings, taking forward various co-operation areas such as those on the economic, cultural, tourism, social livelihood and city management fronts.
