PSCMA to lead delegation to Beijing |
At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) to the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau, the Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Ms Chang King-yiu, will lead a delegation of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) to Beijing in the afternoon of February 1 for the annual reciprocal visit between the HKSAR Government and the MFA. In Beijing, the delegation will meet with senior officials of the MFA and be briefed on the foreign policies of our country and the MFA's latest work, including the planning and development of "One Belt and One Road". The delegation will also make courtesy calls on the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council. Members of the delegation will visit Yunnan Province from February 3 to 7 and meet with provincial and municipal leaders to learn about the latest developments in the region, as well as local initiatives in support of "One Belt and One Road". A spokesman for the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau said the HKSAR Government and the MFA have had an annual reciprocal visit arrangement since 1999 to enhance communication and mutual exchange.
