The Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Patrick Nip (second left), today (August 3) met a group of Hong Kong and Mainland students who joined the University of Hong Kong-Peking University Youth Forum. He encouraged them to enhance exchange and co-operation and to foster mutual understanding and learning during the process with a view to working together to contribute to the country's development. Mr Nip said that the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area has opened up new room for development for Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao as well as the country. It has also provided lots of opportunities for young people in Hong Kong and the Mainland. He urged them to proactively grasp the opportunities to enhance their personal development on the one hand and to contribute to the development of the country on the other. Co-organised by the University of Hong Kong and Peking University, the Forum aimed at promoting exchanges and mutual understanding between students of Hong Kong and the Mainland.
